Satellite - A tournament that pays out entry to a larger tournament instead of money

Short Stack - A chips stack that has fallen below the amount desired for proper play

Side Pot - A separate pot that is formed when one or more players are all-in, consisting of any further bets between the players who still have chips

Small Blind - A compulsory bet, placed before the deal of a hand, by the player to the immediate left of the button (equal to a set portion of the minimum bet as dictated by the current stakes of the game)

String bet - An illegal betting motion in which a player pushes a certain amount of chips into the bet, and then adds more on top of it (after the initial amount has already left his hand)
