Born in 1959 in Paris, France, Pascal “Triple P” Perrault was first introduced to poker at the tender age of eleven, when he began playing kitchen-table games with his family and friends. He aspired to a more conventional career undertaking at first, eventually earning his degree in pharmacology at the University of Paris; it wasn’t until 1995 that he began playing poker professionally. He became a regular online player, and in 1998 he made his first cash at the World Series of Poker, by making the final table in the $3,000 no-limit event, for a $14,000 prize. He also managed to make the final table in the same event in 1999, outlasting such poker greats as Scotty Nguyen and Chris “Jesus” Ferguson. Pascal is widely considered one of today’s top tournament specialists, and with a record of ten 1st places and over 100 cashes in major tournaments across the globe, and earnings in excess of $1.5 million, it would be hard to disagree with that assessment.
