Bertrand Grospellier was born in France, on February 8th, 1981, although he moved to and continued to live in South Korea for much of his early life. Because of the popularity of online gaming in his adopted country, Bertrand quickly developed a passion for such ventures, eventually becoming one of the top ranked players in the world in Starcraft. He began to play poker in his early twenties, and quickly became a regular in the online poker world; he has quite a reputation for multi-tabling (playing at many tables at the same time). His online regularity earned him SuperNova Elite status on PokerStars, an impressive feat, and PokerStars signed him onto their team of pros. His first big live success came at the EPT Copenhagen in 2007, where he came in 2nd place for about $400,000. The next year he won the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, receiving $2 million, and has since amassed a long list of respectable tournament wins at major tournaments, including four cashes in WSOP events, for almost $6 million in total earnings.
