PokerStars Download

It should not take long to download PokerStars. First, click the “Free Download” link on the PokerStars homepage. Select “Save File” in Mozilla or “Run” in Explorer when the download box pops up. The download will automatically save to your computer. When the download is done, the installation process should start automatically. Make sure you are using Windows 95 or newer, 100 MHz Pentium/800 MHz if using Windows Vista, 20MB of free space on disk, and a 56k dialup connection at the least.

Before the installation begins, you will be prompted once to be sure you want to install the software. Click “Yes.” The software will automatically continue the installation process. If this step seems to take a while, be patient. Once the files are done installing, you will be one step closer to playing online poker at PokerStars. The software will guide you to the next step to register an account.

To get started at PokerStars, you will need to create an account. Once in the PokerStars Lobby, click the “Account” tab at the top of the screen. Scroll down to “Create Account.” A new screen will pop up that will ask you to fill in a registration form. You will have to create a User ID and submit a valid email address. Check your email to retrieve your validation code. Then return to the “Account” tab in the Lobby and click “Validate Address.” Enter the code from your email and click “Validate.”
